Automatic high beams, lane-keeping assist and forward-collision mitigation are all part of the standard equipment list for the new Trailblazer. Teen Drive is also found on all models, plus a rearview camera and pedestrian detection. If you choose the LT Trim level or higher, you can also add the Driver Confidence Package. It bundles rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. There is also a Technology Package, which includes adaptive cruise control and LED headlights for either the ACTIV or RS trim levels.
For its base engine, the new Trailblazer comes with a turbocharged 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Models with this engine also have a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. Select trims can be upgraded to a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine instead, which allows them to create 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. This engine gets paired with all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Many drivers are now placing technology features near the top of their priority list when shopping for a new car. The new Trailblazer comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen that runs an intuitive infotainment system. Wireless Android Auto™, wireless Apple CarPlay® and a Wi-Fi hotspot all come standard as well. The Technology Package mentioned above includes those high-tech safety features, plus a wireless charging pad and a premium Bose® sound system.
The Trailblazer is a two-row SUV that can comfortably seat five people. Thanks to its design, this vehicle can offer ample headroom in both rows. There is plenty of legroom to stretch out in as well. One area that the 2022 Trailblazer really shines in is cargo space. You'll find over 25 cubic feet behind the backseats and over 54 cubic feet behind the front row. Need to carry something more? The front passenger seat can fold down, too, to make this SUV even more versatile. Select models add even more convenience in the form of a hands-free power liftgate.
First up on the list of trims is the value-packed LS. It has everything from Bluetooth® and satellite radio to keyless entry. Going with the LT model will get you heated front seats, as well as remote and push-button start. The exterior of this trim level has upgrades such as roof rails and LED fog lights.
If you decide that you prefer the ACTIV model, your Trailblazer will come standard with the more powerful engine. It also has an off-road suspension and all-terrain tires. The ACTIV also has a style of its own - complete with a two-tone roof. As for the RS trim level, it includes details such as red accent stitching for the upholstery and some other premium additions.
